Data Protection Policy (2022)

The Data Protection Act 


The Data Protection Act 2018 controls how your personal information is used by organisations, businesses or the government.  The Data Protection Act 2018 is the UK’s implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).  Everyone responsible for using personal data has to follow strict rules called ‘data protection principles’. 


They must make sure the information is:

  • used for specified, explicit purposes used in a way that is adequate, 
  • relevant and limited to only what is necessary

Stored customer information is kept in a secure environment where access is restricted to employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example billing administration or the development team). Employees are required to use password-protected screen-savers and keep their computers up-to-date.

We may use the information we collect through our website/social media message/text message/phone call/images for a range of reasons, including:

  • To respond to your online inquiries and requests, and to provide you with information and access to resources or services that you have requested from us.
  • To upload pictures of work we have completed on our website and social media. 
  • To contact you via email to ask for a review about our service if you have work carried out.
  • To manage our Websites and system administration and security.

  • To identify any server problems or other IT or network issues.

  • To take photos and/or videos of our own work (specifically) for quality control and/or to validate work that is ongoing or completed.  We (the contractor) will take photos/videos of our work only at the end of every job - if you do not want this to be shared via social media please let us know.
